I looked after my granddaughter overnight – total trust from my daughter. I’m sowing seeds for a new project with someone I’ve not worked with before – building up trust I talked about trust with a close friend and colleague – we know we can depend on each other implicitly, why is it not the same with others? There are some people I like enormously but don’t feel I would work well with – why? I simply don’t trust them.
I can remember a presentation I heard last year at the Do Lectures from Tim Smit, chief executive and co-founder of the Eden Project. How much more could we do if we moved away from contracts and agreements and piles of paperwork and got back to a simple shake of the hand.
If we don’t trust people, what’s the point?
So today I am pondering on what makes me trust people? And what makes people trust me? And where and when should I trust in the world? Big day for thoughts today!
